How CD Contracting & Quality Sandblasting collects, uses and looks after your personal information.
Who we are
This website is operated by CD Contracting & Quality Sandblasting, 10 Mannering St, Tokoroa, Waikato 3420, New Zealand. We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 when handling personal information.
What we collect
When you send the enquiry form on this website we collect what you type into it: your name, phone number, email address, where the job is if you tell us, the service you are interested in and your message. We also record the date and time, the page you sent it from and the internet (IP) address it came from, which helps us block spam and automated abuse.
If you phone, email or message us, we keep the details you give us in the course of that conversation.
If you become a customer we collect the further information needed to quote for, carry out and invoice the work.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote
- To carry out the work you have asked for
- To invoice you and keep the business records the law requires
- To protect the website from spam and misuse
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to send you marketing unless you have asked us to.
Who sees it
Your enquiry is read by us. It is stored and delivered using service providers who process it on our behalf: Cloudflare, which hosts this website and stores form submissions, and Mailgun, which delivers the enquiry to our email inbox. Our website agency, Click n Call, maintains the website and may access enquiry records when providing technical support. Some of these providers store data outside New Zealand.
We will otherwise only disclose your information where the law requires or permits it.
Analytics and cookies
This website may use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use it, for example which pages are read most. These tools use cookies and similar technologies and collect information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. They do not tell us who you are. You can block cookies in your browser settings and the website will still work.
The enquiry form uses a short-lived security token and your browser's session storage to confirm that a form was sent. Neither is used to track you.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as they are useful for responding to you and for our business records, and we keep customer and financial records for as long as the law requires. When information is no longer needed we delete it.
Keeping it safe
Enquiry records are held in a password-protected system, and the website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No system is perfectly secure; if a privacy breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as the Privacy Act requires.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is wrong. To do either, email cdcontracting@outlook.com or call 07 886 5555. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can, and within 20 working days.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page.
